Homework... What?
Throughout my years in school, I never really understood why teachers gave us homework. Now in college, I understand the meaning of it all. Homework helps not only students, but teachers as well. The following are only a few examples of why.
Homework is meant…
· to help the students understand more of the topic talked about inside of class.
· to let the students have more practice of the type of problems on various tests and quizzes
· to help students understand the meaning of responsibility
· to let the teacher know what he/she needs to work on to help the students understand more.
· to help the teacher find out what to focus on more during class time.
· to let the teacher see which students put more effort into the assignments
· to let the teacher know which one of their students are having trouble in a certain area.
Here is my policy. The more homework, the more grades. With more grades, a student’s averages figure to be less points for each assignment. This is an easy way to not drop grades. However, it is also a harder way to gain grade points. I believe there are more pros than cons to assigning homework to students.
